Is there any way to hide a combo box on a continuous form depending on the value of another field ?

No, If you hide the Combo Box based on the value of another field it will be hidden for ALL records.
In my example below I attempted to hide the Combo Box (cboName) based on whether an order was paid or not.

As a side note, you could disable the Combo Box using Conditional Formatting.

ok thanks.. I was afraid of that... I guess an option could be instead of using a combo box on the continuous subform, I could place a textbox on the subform sourced with the field I need that can be hidden using the method in the video-> if the criteria are met where I need the field -> open a form with a combo box -> select the field content -> insert into table. sounds fun I'll try it.

Chris -
Did you watch the Hide Field Continuous Form video?

The other problem is that changing a combo box in a continuous form will change things for all records in the form.
That video explains it better.

Scott thanks and yes I did.. turns out I didn't need to hide the field on the contiuous form as when I don't need to see it, its empty anyway. what I did to get the data into the table was place combo boxes above the subform, and insert into the table from there.. and the subform now just contains text boxes instead of combos. and because my combo that I want to hide is on the signgle form, I can use the .visible control.
