Count Subform Rows with Filter

I want to display a record count in the main form for the number of rows in a subform, but I also want the count to update when the user uses, changes, or clears the filters in data sheet view.

If I use DCOUNT, I can't figure out how to capture the change event on the filter to refresh it. I am assuming there is an easy way to do this. How?

Put a (not visible) Textbox in the footer of the subform with =Count(*) and make a Textbox in your Main Form displaying the value of the Subform Textbox. With changing the filter refresh the mainform textbox.

Did you watch the DCount video? It shows and example of counting orders but the method is the same. Stefan is also correct, you can put it into an unbound text box on a form as well. See the After Update video for how to refresh your data on changes.
