Table Based Combo Box
Jeffrey Van Eeghem

Hi all,
New here, first post.
For my courses (20+) Ive created an enrollement form with a table-based combo box with all the course names.
Each course has their own criteria so each course has its own form with those criteria(for example for math, the criteria is to know 1+1, for English need to know the alfabet). Different course, different criteria, different form
Now depending on the choice in the combo box in the enrollement form, a (criteria) form needs to be attached/assigned to that student who enrolled into that course.
So when the student takes that course, I can open that criteria form of the course the student has registered for! And start to tick-off.
How do I do that?
Is there an easy way or do I need VBA for that?

Thx all,
Jeffrey

This would be much easier if you had one main form for the course and a subform for the criteria of the course.
It can be a nightmare having to maintain many forms that perform pretty much the same task.

This video should also prove useful.

Too Many Tables

You may want to consider a Tech Help Membership. They are inexpensive with many hours of great content.

I wish it was that simple. Some courses have 2 pages & some 100+ fields of criteria. Which I already split over 2 forms.

Hi Jeffrey:  Wouldn't you just create another table of the criteria for that course, which will link to the courses table and student?  Then when they choose that course, you would check off the criteria matched in another table, via the form? So, the English course would open the English criteria form.
