I have a couple databases that use combo boxes and they work just fine. However, now when I create a new database and create a combo box using a table, all the fields display as excepted. However, I cannot select a record. I just get a dinging sound. I tried adding a new combo box to a database that I had previously created and the combo box worked just fine. Is there some kind of option setting that would disable record selection in a combo box when creating a new database?
Is the combo box bound to a field you are able to otherwise edit in the underlying table or query?

The combo box is bound to an ID field (etc customerID or bookID) in the applicable table. I've created other simple databases just to test the combo box issue and I have the same issue in each database. Each combo box is bound to a field in a table. I able to edit the all the tables in which I am trying to use a combo box.
