Lesson 5 Stops at 909

The online video stops at 9:09. However, if I download the video lessons from the Resources section, the video plays on through to the end (at about 12:09).

Clearing the cache in Google Chrome did not work for me. I have the same problem (course stops at 9:09)  if I use Microsoft Edge.

Problem with the video file. I can't explain why this happens, but randomly a video just stops working correctly. I get at least one a week I have to download, fix, and re-upload. This one should be good to go now.

Firefox doesn't have this issue. Can't commend on Edge

Dan,

Probably because Rick has already fixed it.

I've seen loads of posts commenting similar on other videos. I've never experienced this issue before on firefox. Must have seen the same complaint 4 or 5 times now. I think it has something to do with the video renderer in the browser and Ricks preferred video format. Since FF is open source, its more likely to be compatible me thinks...

Next time it happens we'll mess around with it.

Same here Dan.  FF never gives me issues.  + I always download and run them via VLC.
I don't stream they are to choppy.
Even though I have good internet at Home and Office - Internet in the boonies is crap. It is just easier to watch on my laptop.

Strange though that downloading the video and watching it offline is fine

Alex - Richard zips them up and I just down load the zip.  Never have had an issue there either.
I'd say it has to have something to do #1 with hosting the video on line and / or #2 the browser being used.

Simple fact is that, like with the original search engine, chrome became popular because it was light weight, compatible, simple and easy to use. Then it became popular'. I've used chrome since it's days of chromium but it's fatter and uglier than IE and edge. Enter FF.

I'm seriously moving away from all the corporate BS. FF is very good but not great. It does seem to be more compatible than the other two

Edge is actually pretty decent.
The fact the Edge, Chrome and Safari are all Chromimum means there isn't much diff between them.

Tried Opera or Brave?

For me it doesn't matter what is better. I have to use what's popular because that's what most of my customers will be using.
