Bravo!! I learned lots of things that I will be able to use in my existing databases. Thanks once again.

BTW, me personally, I'm don't really use Excel anymore. I have converted most of my Excel stuff to Access.

I use Excel when starting a project. Once I get to the point where I need a 2nd relational table or I have more than a hundred or so rows, I move it to Access. Excel still has its place.

Excel is a great "Prepper". Due to its ability to dump data and manually move things and such, i use it to gather and organise records before importing into access.

If access is the main course, excel is the appetizer!

I agree with both replies.  I have proudly carried the nickname, and reputation behind it, of the X-Queen! The reputation being; if I had more than two pieces of data, it was going into a spreadsheet!! As Dan mentioned, I utilize excel extensively for planning the database structure!!  While my eyes have been opened wide and bright to the power of Access (Thank you Richard!!), Excel will always hold a special place in this geek's heart!!

Oh sure... I keep Excel pinned to my Task Bar. It's super easy to just start a simple sheet for storing... pretty much anything. I've got a handful of sheets I use to this day for all kinds of SIMPLE things.
