I would love it if you would jot down and share more of your tips and tricks here.

I don't have any experience in SP but others starting out or making the change I'm sure would find it helpful.
There isn't a ton of resources out there interfacing with Access.

Good job!

Thank you Scott.

I will certainly post something, if I find that needs to be made known, now that you have asked. I assumed that most would know about it before me. I had to do it on the run and save my hard work from an IT Gremlin who just seems to hates me using Access.(or maybe just hates me LOL)

We have moved Office and He has shut down access to the Shared drive and putting up everything into remote folders so that he and his support crew can provide IT support from remote locations. Forcing us to use Teams...another area that I need to learn more about. Of course we are Public Service, Council and it not like a Private Sector job.

So this is something that is in the business of creating databases, someone  could run into, if they find that suddenly there is new guy in town and they want to keep things locked up tight and their control.

My other tip Keep Back ups of everything Daily or twice daily if needs be. I keep mine on an external drive and also have downloaded it onto my personal computer.

Share Point on the face of it appears to be very user friendly and a simple test run showed me how it works.

On another note. I need to test this further, but you cannot delete any files in a list if it is connected to an external database. I tried to delete the extra files and couldn't until I disconnected the linked database. I simply dragged the information back in and made the files local again.
