Does anyone have any suggestions on how you would go about setting up a Knowledge Base in Access?

I would like to include things like:
- The Database Design (Format, Color Codes, Notes)
- Definitions, Images, Q & A
- Fast Tips / Reminders (Don't Do THIS - Do THIS Instead)
- Source (Entity Link, Video # or Time)
- Specific Objectives (How it Works, How to set it up, Steps)

Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

Does it have to be in Access? Would this not be better as a website? I'd use a combination of VCS and docFX

Thank you for the reply Alex. Bit I have no idea what those are. I briefly looked at docFX and it looks way over my head, and something else to learn how to use.

Access can be used as a data depository for things like Article ID, Subject ID, Subject Description, links to images and videos, that sort of things. But the actual articles themselves are better to be done in a highly portable and formattable format, such as HTML (as Alex alluded to). Search online for "knowledge base builder" and you'll find other options too; and they are, of course, all web-based.

Hey Kevin! Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what I want to use it for. Just quick notes for myself about a topic, and links to videos.

Hi Ramona, Some time ago I needed a similar program, but did use Access to create one that worked for me. I use Rick's File picker to locate and store my articles, links to Access Videos etc. I can open all the file format that I need. However; Kevin's suggestion is a good one. John
