Reports Not Responding
Don Savage

Happy New Year to everyone.  All of a sudden all of my reports are very slow to open and in design view they actually go into the not responding when clicking on any text box, label etc.  takes about 30 seconds for each click.  They were working fine a week ago.  Not just one database and happens in a newly created one.  It's fine in forms and form design, just unusable in reports.
Do I need to uninstall Access and re-install?

Try running through the Troubleshooter

Hi Kevin,  thanks, I did that and rebooted several times.  Strange problem.

Yea keep going down the list of the troubleshooter. Sounds like a PC problem if it's every database even new ones. Something maybe corrupted or a virus? I'd scan your machine just to be safe and then try re-installing office perhaps

Thanks Adam,  thanks, I did a virus scan all clean.  So I'm thinking uninstall and re-install access.

Not sure how this works, but now that I'm signed back into my works network it is fine.

Oh yea that will do it depending on your setup using the database off-site. You could be playing with fire too on corrupting your database. How are you connecting to your backend file at work? Or is it on SQL server or something?

Hi Adam,  the database is completely on my C drive, so nothing like that.  I maybe about the network printer, but what would that have to do with just opening it or opening in design view.  I get it if you were trying to print it?  Not sure, but I'm home now and it works fine, i guessing because I rebooted at work this morning and just put it to sleep to go home.
