Hello Kevin thanks for your rapid reply.  I believe I am adding the "Calculated field developed from two other queries Directly to the Query that my Sub-Form gets its data from as you suggested.  The Sub-Form gets its data from "OrderDetailQ" and his is How I understand to add the "SumTotal" directly into the Query that the Sub-Form gets its data from.
I open that Query up in DESIGN mode, go to Add Tables and get the Query where the SumTotals are calculated, then select the SumTotal from that Query into the Query that my Sub-Form gets its data from "OrderDetailQ".  I think that's what you are telling me to do, however; as soon as I do that I think my Continuous Sub-Form goes into READ ONLY mode.  I can see data previously entered and the "SumTotal" field has the correct calculated data in it, but the Sub-Form just shows previous data and won't give me a New Line to add new data anymore.  If I remove the "SumTotal" from the Query where the Continuous Sub-Form gets its data from, I regain the ability to add new data to the Sub-Form, but of course can no longer see the "SumTotal on the Sub-Form for that customer.  Horace Conti
