When I made the button to switch between related records it worked. Then I added the IsNull line of code so that the button on the bottom row would not do anything, and it didn't work. It just kept switching to a screen with an empty record. I rechecked everything and cant find my error. I have office365 subscription version. Please help

I've been trying to replicate your problem and the code works just fine for me.

In the screen you show above, click the Debug option in the menu.  Choose the very first option - Compile.
Note here if you get any errors.
Save and close the Code window.

In the main data base window go to the top and click Database Tools.  Choose the Compact and Repair option in the menu bar.  (The far left.)
Once again note any error you get.

Test it out.  Did that fix the issue?

One other thought. Open your tables directly. Do you have any "blank" records there? You might be returning a record that looks like a new record but is actually not - its just blank.
