DCount All Yes or all Nos
Gail Akinnusotu

Please I just want to tally all Yes records in one text box and all No records in another text box without VBA. I have watched the quick tech tip and yet I continue to get only #error
I am using a query as my source with DeptmentID( number type) and a function DepartmentID >=10000 and <=19999 to produce the YES/NO field named XYZZ
What am I doing wrong? =DCount("*","MyQueryQ","DepartmentID=XYZZ")
please help me? do I need brackets?

Can you post a screenshot of your query in Design View?

There's a lot that I would change with this query. First, you've got tables and queries with dashes in the names, and fields with spaces in the names, so you are definitely going to be needing brackets. You got a field named Date which is a No-No. And if you're going to be checking for the actual word yes or no then you're going to need quotes around that.
