Maybe you can do a Replace Chr(160) with Chr(32). That also would prevent you from trouble if 160 appears in the 6 first chars.

I had a similar Problem with Semicolon in Filenames.

In a form I have a listbox with a selection of Files. All operations (also FSO operations) with the files are fine until it came to the point filling the Listbox.

My code is (simplyfied):
Dim objFile as File
For each objFile in Folder.Files
Listbox.additem objFile.Name

All Files with Semicolon got cut off after the Semicolon.

My Solution: Replace ";" with ","
