I am building a checkbook database. The main form will mimic the online bank screen. I have a Main Form with Start Date, End Date, Start Balance, End Balance. I have continuous sub Form for each transaction. It contains a running sum text box that will add or subtract from the record before the current record (depending if it is a credit or debit). How do I cause the current text box to find the record before and then make the calculation? Of course, I am using Auto Number ID's, Date/Time feilds for time record is entered. My 1st thought is to use a lookup to find the previous record based on Date/Time then do the calculation and where would I put the lookup, Query, VBA, in the Text Box field. I've been using Access for 20 year and still consider myself a novice.
