I have a few databases that I am building (Playing around with).  In one I can move items in the same category as I wish, but any of the newer databases that I create, everything stays in alphabetic order. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, BJ

Could you please provide us some additional details?  A little vague to even have a starting point.
We'll probably even need to see some screenshots to help determine what to do.

I have a database that I keep track of family and friends birthdays. I have 12 queries (one for each month) i.e. JanBdayQ, FebBdayQ and so on. In the Navigation Pane I can move them around so that they are in the order of month and not in alphabetical order, but in other databases I can not move objects around.

Right Click on any Group Header (for example Queries)
In the Sort By menu select Remove Automatic Sorts.
