This is really cool but would be nice if, when doing reports, you covered exporting to excel as well. In this modern day of emailing and digital.... stuff, printing seems kinda outmodded.

I get why people would use reports, of course, but would be good to see the 21st century version with excel reports.

Of course, what would be perfect is if they added a module for exporting like reports so...

Tables
Queries
Forms
Reports
*Exports*
Macros (Boo!)
Module

...but meh. Access will get its time eventually. In the meantime, come on Rick! Put away your dinosaurs, your fax machines and printed reports and show us more excel exports!!!

By the way, you know like Excel Exports right?

I print my reports to *.pdf for distribution.  No MSOffice required to open them.

Yeah, it isn't so much with not having office since we all have it. Because our reports have 1000's of sales with multiple figures per sale, excel is fantastic for analysing/calculating etc.... something that just wouldn't be possible with a PDF.

That said, when i received documents in via snail mail and they get added to the DB, I have a button which generates a PDF report and emails everyone so they can see whats come in. All i need to do is click one button. That's it. Brilliant!

You'd be surprised at how many people still actually print and FAX things. Yeah... I know. FAX!? WTF? Especially in the medical field... they've come a long way, but they still have to print a lot of stuff because gub-mint.

Richard I still get requests too.  Mostly from legal folks as to what our FAX number is.
My response is usually "What is a FAX?" or I just start giving them my company email address.

Remember the printers where you could Print to FAX?
