what if you have two offices but a client say "joe" that gose to both office 1 or office 2. office 1 ID for joe is 7 and office 2 ID for joe is 77. hes ordered from both locations. How would you go about joining that orders table from both offices into 1 table that has the NEW ID for joe and get ride or combine the data from say office 1 clients table to the new clients table. and have the orders table form both offices show use the NEW client ID

The short answer is there isn't really a way to keep an Access database that is being used in sync without being connected online.

See the Access Online for some connection solutions.

I got to thinking about my reply above earlier and that still stands.  However you may be wanting to find and consolidate records prior to going on line.  Start out with the Find Duplicates.

You may have to run several instances to catch the dupes.  ie Phone, address, email etc.
Once you have them identified you will just need to decide which to keep and which to change the ID  to.  It may be a bit of a manual process unfortunately.  There isn't really a "set in stone" way of getting past it.
