Highlight Selected Row
Frank Sellers

Hello,

with a continuous form, how do I make the background color of every field on the row change to the same background color just by clicking on any of them, regardless of content. I tried conditional formatting with IsNull or Not IsNull, but nothing worked for me. I would just like users to know which row of data their on at a glance without squinting at the screen. Can't find an answer on the net either.

Thanks,

Frank Sellers

Richard probably has a better way but...
Here is how I solved the problem.  Picture 'tutorial' to follow.

Give it a shot and let me know what you think.

That's pretty much how you do it... except I'd probably use the OnCurrent event instead of multiple GotFocus events. But yeah... spot on. In fact, this is on my list for a TechHelp video already. :)

Yeah Richard's right.  The forms on current event is better.  Only one block of code instead of multiple.
Guess I shouldn't be working at 3 AM.  LOL
Just do this instead:

Haha. I come up with my best stuff at 3am sometimes. :)

Richard I do too sometimes.  At least the way I had it worked!  There's that for the late hour.

I usually do my best thinking at 3:00 a.m. When I'm lying in bed and should be sleeping or when I'm in the shower or when I'm in the throne room if you know what I mean. And for some reason it always seems that when I come and sit at my desk all those great ideas seem to go away so I have to make sure I take notes on my phone whenever I get them. I'm constantly texting myself stuff.
