Table design view deprecated

I noticed that the text and Data Type drop down in table design View displays are greyed out. My company has Microsoft 365 Premium license that includes Access version 2305 Build 16. Has Microsoft deprecated the design view feature? If so, should I abandon Access and learn Power Apps?

It is not recommended that you use that in a table.  You are better off placing you lookup in the form.
To answer your question though I'm not seeing any issues with the latest version of Access.

With regard to Power Apps see the Access Going Away and Alive & Well In 2023.

Learn Power Apps if you want but they will not be a replacement for Access.

Power Apps is not the most terrible thing in the world.  I've used it for a month and posted about it here: https://599cd.com/blog/da?ID=68749  .  It does have some tangible advantages especially for those who want online connectivity.  It is also potentially much cheaper than paying for Office and Access.  The coding mechanism is much slimmed down compared to Access, which is both advantageous and disadvantageous.  Having Access knowledge is actually useful, because Power Apps still requires considerable database knowledge.  I encourage any Access users, experts or otherwise, to trial Power Apps for 30 days here: https://powerapps.microsoft.com  .  When it is close to expiring, you can go to admin settings to extend the trial for another 30 days.  2 months should give you a good idea about this thing (be it good or bad), as it has given me.  Yes, it does have pros and cons.  I was able to make 2 apps with it in a month, so Access experts shouldn't have too much trouble.  Don't be like this guy ( https://www.devhut.net/access-my-first-venture-into-dataverse/ ), who couldn't even do something as simple as importing a table and then jumped to the conclusion that the Power platform is Satan or something.
