Reference Library Issues
Mark Fairhead

Hi

I have written some VBA ( utilising the Acrobat.tlb Reference Library ) to combine several PDF files into one large PDF.

This works perfectly for the one Department that needs this ( who all have Adobe ), but all other other Departments ( who dont have Adobe ) now get strange, random errors, such as : unknown commend UCASE() when opening the Access DB.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this, apart from buying Adobe for everyone, or having two maintain separate databases ?

Thanks.

I use a freeware tool called PDFtk to merge PDFs:

    https://www.pdflabs.com/tools/pdftk-the-pdf-toolkit/

With it, you use a command line to merge PDFs together:

    pdftk file1.pdf file2.pdf file3.pdf file4.pdf cat output merged.pdf

You can use the Shell() function to run a command line in VBA.
