Updated a querybased Form

Sorry if this is a bit prosaic, but I'm stuck.

I've 2 Forms; Form1 bound to TableA and Form2 bound to a Query derived from the same table only with Strings added corresponding to numeric key-fields which the query obtains from supporting Tables via relational connections.

When Form2 alters a value of one of the key-fields in the Table which underpins the query the query automatically reflects this change in its related String field. Form2 then closes by means of a CommandButton.

QUESION: How do I see the updated String on Form1 using dLookup in a TextBox?

I guess I'm asking, what event-trigger. I'm currently relying on F5.

I MAY HAVE FOUND MY ANSWER. I SEEM ABLE TO PUT "Me.Requery" AT THE 'ON ACTIVATE' EVENT OF "Form1", THAT IS, THE FORM BOUND TO THE QUERY. THIS LOOKS TO SYNC THE DISPLAY WITH THE UNDERLYING DATA AS ALTERED BY ''Form2."

I was like a mad man all morning trying to find something that would work. I'm getting a fair amount of "twinkling" in some of my TextBoxes. Let's hope I hadden't monkeyed with now forgotten code lines which simply did not need to be changed and that this is producing the effect. No matter. The damned thing keeps working!

For those also working to understand the minutia of "REQUERY", the cause of the "twinkling" mentioned in my earlier comment was simply due to the fact that I'd "Form.Requery" when the situation called for a mere "<control name>.Requery". One such command for each control possibly affected. I learn by watching the progress of fellow students.
