control on a subreport

I have a main report: SummarizedReportR
I have a subreport on that report: SummarizedLaborR
The subreport is in a subreport control: LaborRptCnt
There is a field on the subreport named: SumOfLabor

I want to get the value from the control on the subreport for a text box on the main report. I've tried this and it gives me the #Name? error.
=[Reports]![SummarizedReportR]![SummarizedLaborR].[Report]![SumOfLabor]

It puts the brackets around everything. I'm not sure that is correct. And I'm not using the name of the control on the main report--only the subreport inside the control. Is that correct?

In the Control Source of the Text Box on your main Report: `=[SummarizedLaborR]![SumOfLabor]` The Subreport is already on the main Report so all you need is the name of the Subreport followed by the name of the field.

Thanks for responding. What I ended up using was: =LaborRptCnt.Report!SumofLabor
