Post a MS Access Rpt to Calend

Hi,

I just created a blank MS Access Db and linked one of my Outlook Calendars to my Db.  This Calendar which is also virtually brand new had 1 Entry in it with an attachment.  All the data from the Calendar entry was replicated in the linked table Except the attachment.
I have staff who are attaching MS Access reports to staff Outlook Calendars and want to automate the process but I also need to attachment the report as well but the created Access table doesn't seem to have a field to populate the file location where the report would be stored.

Is this possible?

Regards and Thx

What file type is the Access Report?
Is this just a PDF as an attachment to the event?

Hi Alex,

I can create the report as a PDF.  I can create the report that's not my issue.  What I can't see how to do is attach the report to the outlook calendar.  I can see how to create the event in the Calendar, Eg Date, Time, Who To, Subject, Body Text, but I don't see any field available in outlook to attach a PDF or any other type of file that I could create in MS Access.

Thx in Advance

Can't say I've ever tried to add an attachment to an event.
Could you not just store a ref to the document and associate the event to the document in your db?

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your response.  Yes I could do that but, as a user you can drag and drop a document, xlxd, doc, pdf etc into the outlook calendar event so I am surprised that when I created the db link from the outlook calendar that the attached document in the calendar wasn't in the table list in my db.

If this can't be done and why I asked the question I will use Richard's Calendar application which will definitely work!

Thx

Also a good advertisement for Richard's Calendar application if this is a limitation of Outlook Calendar.
