Fonts are different in reports
Despina Karayanni

Hello,
All of a sudden, the fonts in the reports in the end users' database are different than in my computer. For example, in my computer, I use Calibri fonts in my reports, however, when I disseminate the front end database to my end users, on their computer, the fonts appear as MS Suns serif. I have problem because MS Suns Serif are bigger and don't appear on the saved pdf of the report.
Can you help on this?

The first thing I would do is verify that they haven't accidentally deleted Calibri from their computer. Windows will substitute fonts to a "close" typeface if a defined font can't be found.

Verify that your report font didn't get accidentally changed. I haven't heard of anything like this happening before but stranger things have happened.

Troubleshooting ideas:
- I would try making a small test report to verify the issue. If the test report works OK, you may need to recreate the report that is causing issues.
- If you have an extra PC or laptop you can try it on, that would be good too. That would indicate if it is a machine problem.
- It might be that something is not right with that report.

Change the font to something strange. Save and close it. Then edit it again and change it back to the font you want. See if that fixes your problem.

There appears there is an issue with the default font of Calibri. Microsoft is apparently working on a fix.

Work-Around (From Access Forever):
If you cannot wait for the fix, make sure the font is changed to Calibri (Detail) and NOT Calibri.

Thank you very much for your reply. I'll work on this to see how it works, and come back soon!

Thank you very much Scott and Kevin! I changed the fonts into Calibri (Detail) and it works!
