Ideas for Seminar

As I mentioned in the end of the Extended Cut, I am planning on putting together a seminar series on using Access with OpenAI. So, here are just some of the ideas that I have on my list, and I would love to hear your feedback on what suggestions and features you'd like to see.

- Chaining requests: send one command and take those results and feed them into another command. This is useful for very complex commands when a single one just won't do the trick. For example "correct this for spelling and grammar, NEXT make it sound like Mr. Spock, NEXT reduce it to 100 words or less."

- Remembering the previous conversation by summarizing and sending it in the system message.

- Using AI to generate or fix VBA code, SQL, etc.

- Using AI to write queries based on English commands

- Getting data from the "real world" and populating your data. For example, "write me a query to fill in a table with the crew of the Enterprise."

Since AI is a LANGUAGE engine, it seems like it could learn how to debug/correct VBA code.  I've inherited a number of old Access DBs that needed a LOT of VBA reworks - I'm not good enough with VBA to correct lots of someone else's code.  FMS has a program to do it, but it's only for 32-bit Access.  AI would be a universal solution that many of us could use right now.

I'll get back to you with more brilliant ideas as soon as I learn to spell "AI".  Yeah, this is all SO new, it's hard to even imagine new applications, towit VisiCalc.

This thread is now CLOSED. If you wish to comment, start a NEW discussion in OpenAI Part 2.
