why screen blanks out to gray
Nathan Shepard

Something I did with a form blanks out to a solid gray. When I go to formview I believe I did something with a property option.

Anyone have any ideas?  Thank you before hand for any response.

This is the way it appears in form view.  If I switch to design view.  It appears with a gray background and all my fields on the screen.  I gone thru all the properties and checked them.  I see nothing that has changed.  I have no VB code for this form.

Whats weird my save button at the top disappeared and it also disappeared in vb code view.

Are there any records in the table?
Are you allowing adding records with this form?

If there are no records in the underlying Recordset and AllowAdditions is set to No you won't see any of the fields.

Are there any records in the table?  Yes,  currently there are about 203 records
Are you allowing adding records with this form? No,   The button on the continuous form  Goes to this form for edit and display.  At that point it blanks out.  I will straighten this out.

I think I found the problem.  I have a button called "Display and Edit"  I copied that form to an "add", display, edit and display button.  When those buttons are tapped.  They access VBA code.  What did not do is change the form names in the code.  Thus this might be why its doing the blank screen.  Standby while I fix it and see if this fixes it.

Mr. Robertson:

Its going to take a while for me to fix those buttons.  That's got to be the problem.  The fact that you suggested a few things.  Got me thinking.  Give me 24 hours to respond.  Giving me the answer---------------I learn nothing.  On the other hand suggesting what it could be.  I learn how to debug my code.  Thank you for your help.  See info on paypal.  I stand by what I said above.  Apparently my screen that states I transferred $50.00 is pending approval.  It will come thru soon.

Nathan, it's not necessary to pay for support here, but if you do feel like tipping the moderators, that's always welcome.

Kevin,
Thank you for responding.  I went thru the code and all the properties. I changed a few things and the screen now displays the fields.  As to what I changed to bring back the screen with fields.  That is a mystery.  I thank you for suggesting a few things and
you got me thinking.  I now consider the issue of "why screen blanks out to gray".  To be closed.  Also "Thank you to Richard Rost also.
