Kb Shortcuts For Lesson Vids

I'm at Expert 11 and making a slow, thorough crawl through to the last of the full roster and, by the way, am completely enjoying the experience.

I was curious, however: do your lesson videos (viewed streaming online within the course framework) enable any keyboard shortcuts? For example, a key combo to pause the narrative and allow for a quick interval for me to nip off and try some newly revealed secret in my own practice DB; and then, some way to likewise restart the lesson video upon flipping back from my intrepid recess?

I want to keep such new knowledge burning brightly as I bring it to my own code and, I fear, fiddling with the mouse (stylus, actually) often scrambles the spark and compromises the moment.

These are the ones I'm aware of, note that sometimes you have to click inside the video a second time to get the focus moved there it seems like.

Left Arrow/Right Arrow goes backwards/forwards 5 sec
Up Arrow/Down Arrow turns volume up/down
Space Bar pauses/resumes

If you download the videos and watch on whatever local media player you have on your PC, there are probably a lot more.

Also Ctrl+Left or Right Arrow skips a larger chunk, Ctrl + Up/Down max/mutes the sound
Home Key starts the video over, End Key goes to the end of the video

Thanks, Adam.

I don't know why, but [SPACEBAR] is not pausing the videos. In fact, if I'm viewing the lesson video in anything other than full-screen view, I get this distracting entire window scroll, which makes me jump like a startled, sleeping house cat. I think I'll try your download approach if the goal proves urgent enough for me.

I've avoided this because I'm old fashion and put a very high price on Rich's authorship of his intellectual property. I would never distribute such a download, of course, but have always felt a greater sense that I'm traveling the high road by shunning any such "near opportunity." But, since nobody else seems to, I guess I'll just have to trust myself!

Thanks for the snap response.
