If you know Access, you should have a relatively easy time learning Power Apps, because it is the same type of tool as Access -- a front end designer for a database back end -- albeit for online, multi-platform usage.  I trialed it a few months ago, and after a month of learning Power Apps, made a customer CRUD form with it:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6eOT4YjFsc  .  I used SQL Server via Winhost instead of Dataverse to store my data, so you don't have to use Dataverse if you don't want to.  One caveat is that, unlike Access, Power Apps has no reporting features whatsoever, so you have to use an external tool to design and run reports -- such as "SQL Server Reporting Services" (SSRS).

Thanks Kevin. My plan is to stick with Access and use Dataverse as my backend. I would use SQL Server, but I plan to eventually develop a Power App for my field guys to use for various purposes and I don't really feel the need to pay for backend hosting twice. My hope is that the report/s I will need to create from the data gathered in the app will still get generated in Access since they are both using the same backend. I very much appreciate any tips, advice, or resources you feel like sharing. I'm in the process now of trying to migrate the tables over to Dataverse. It seems I have to do this a few tables at a time for some reason.
