Form vey slow on SQL Server

Morning
I have a Case enquiry form.  Management needs a bunch of info.  The Case Table has ID's linked to 8 tables e.g. UserID linked to UserT to pickup User Name.  Insurer ID linked to InsurerT to pickup Insurer Company name and 6 other links.  I wrote a Query linking all this together and based the form on the Query.  Worked fine locally.  I have now migrated them to a SQL Server database with an Access front end so multiple users can work on the cloud.  Now the from takes ages and ages to load & the tables are still small.  I tried an append query creating a work table on the local drive.  Bit quicker but not impressive.  Should I do DLookups in a Global function and store the data in TempVars or is the a better way of speeding this up.  All the linked data is for Viewing purposes only.

You should definitely try to do as much of the hard lifting as possible on the server that's one of the major benefits of SQL Server. You want to use views and pass-through queries wherever possible. I talk about all of this in my SQL Server Seminar.
