Backup the Sharepoint list
Marc Lievens

We use Hornetsecurity for spam and backup (SharePoint sites). However, the backup only captures the documents on SharePoint, while the lists are stored in a different location. To address this, I created a second frontend backup with links to the SharePoint lists and generated a local copy of each list as a table in the frontend. Consequently, for every list, there is a corresponding second local table in the frontend.
Every day, I execute a timebased backup subroutine with the following commands:
DoCmd.RunSQL "DELETE FROM " & LocalTable & ";"
DoCmd.RunSQL "INSERT INTO " & LocalTable & " SELECT * FROM [" & SharePointTable & "];"
This frontend backup is located in the SharePoint documents and is backed up daily by HornetSecurity. Currently, there aren't many records in the lists, and the system works fine. However, I'm wondering if this is the best way to implement it, or if there's a more efficient approach?"
