Luckily I am not in this position right now but I am curious if you have the copy of your accdb file and the customer has the accde file and you made an update to the database and wanted to give that to the customer how would you restore the data that they added in that accde file

This is why you should split your database into front end and back end (that contains only the data files). Split Your Database

It is straightforward and easy to do. And from that point onwards, you can update the frontend and send the customer the new ACCDE file with no effect on their data.

Ah ok GREAT! Thanks!. Since I haven't released the database out to the wild yet I am going to split it now!
