This is one of those issues that's very difficult to troubleshoot remotely. Unless I'm sitting at your computer, it's hard to tell. But what's with the dollar sign at the end of the name of the linked table? Is that actually part of the name?

It is not.  I do not know where that came from.  FYI, The linked excel table is derived from a Power Query excel table.

Welp... Something's telling Access isn't got a $ on the end of it, which is likely your problem. I see you're already trying to "On Error Resume Next" your way past it. Weird that you're still getting an error. I'll be honest, I'm not familiar with how Access handles Power Query stuff. Maybe try manually relinking it with a different name?

I will try that.  Ironically though, the relink to my backend file was still successful, in spite of the error message.
