Kernel32

Richard, what does the GlobalMod "Kernel32" actually do, a kind of sleep mode or something...?

The kernel32 library in VBA, or Visual Basic for Applications, refers to a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file in Windows operating systems named "kernel32.dll." This library is a core component of the Windows API, which provides essential functions for managing memory, processes, and threads, among other system-level operations. By accessing the kernel32 library through VBA, developers can utilize these system functions within their applications to perform tasks that are not directly supported by VBA itself.

For example, VBA does not natively support functions to pause or delay execution for a specific amount of time with high accuracy. However, by declaring and using the `Sleep` function from the kernel32 library, a developer can easily add such functionality to their VBA projects.

Accessing the kernel32 library and other similar system libraries expands the capabilities of VBA, allowing developers to incorporate sophisticated system-level functionality into their Office applications.

It's basically code to do stuff at the OS level that doesn't exist natively in VBA. You can "call" the Kernel32 library to utilize these extra functions.
