Reducing Multiple Entries Upload Images   Link   Email

I have a situation where I need to reduce the number of entries in a record set down to one per person.  I am trying to create a DB to track employee entries into our buildings from their access card usage.  The data from the access control system includes every card swipe but I really only want to see one entry per person per day.  I am only trying to track the number of times a person has entered our campus each week so one entry per day is fine.  One month's data is currently pushing 90,000 records so it would be very beneficial if I could reduce that down to what should probably be less than 15,000 records during the import, if that is possible.  I have tried Googling this question but apparently don't know the terminology to use for the process or filter or code I am looking for so even that knowledge would be helpful.  Thanks in advance.

You want an aggregate query. If you want their most recent swipe, use the Max function.
