Track Change from Update Query

I'm a new Gold Member and I'm really enjoying (and benefiting from) your content.

Is it possible to track changes to field made after running an update query?

Thank you!

Log Changes to Tables this should get you on the right track of what you need to do.

I think the best you can hope for with this would be to copy all of the records to a second temporary table and then run your update query and then you can run another query to see which records have changed. Access by itself doesn't store changes made at the query level. This might make an interesting video though I'll add it to the list.

I'm running the update query from a linked Excel table so I created a query to compare the 'request' field in the linked table to the 'request' field in the 'PlayerT' in the database. If they are not equal they appear in the query. Then I run a report before the update query to show me which, if any, requests changed. Perfect! Thanks for the point in the right direction.
