got running error
Nathan Shepard

I made a few transactions.  See attached.  It gives me a error for running balance.
I did modify the Table name to reflect the name of the financial institution.  Besides that the database file name is the name of the financial institution.  I am using this one till I set up the Check register template and get the errors figured out.

You didn't attach an image.

There is some thing wrong with the upload.  You choose a file and it comes back with no file chosen.  Its a caught in a loop and you press Upload and it comes back with no file selected.  You chose the file and press upload and comes back with no file chosen

Correction there is nothing wrong with the upload.  I had to shrink the file down and chose Jpeg.

Does this problem occur in the stock database as it's downloaded from the site? If you've made changes, without knowing EXACTLY what you've changed, I can't tell what the problem is. #Error can be anything.

This occurs in the stock database.  I changed the name of the database to the name of my financial institution With the ending of the file being ckreg

I just checked the database and it works fine for me. Please walk us through EXACTLY what you did to generate this error.

Running balance is not defined in the table.  The running balance and clear work fine in the report.  The problem is in the check register.  that is where the issue is.  Its not defined or no field exists for the running balance.

You would not store the running balance in the table; it's a calculated field, either on the form or the report.

It does not work.  It gives an error.  I checked the code.  I do not see any calculations.  The code must be invisible.

RunningSum is a calculated field in the CheckRegQ Query.
You say you modified the Table name. You also need to change it in the DSum function that is used in the RunningSum calculated field.
