Access Customer Form ordering
T Halter

So, I have a customer table, a customer list form and a customer form, as shown in various videos.
I have the customer table ordered alphabetically.
The customer list form is based on a query and works as I wish.
The customer form displays one record at a time and is based off
the customer table. The problem is that when the first record is displayed, it is based on the ID number of the table (1), and not the tables order. (which is aplhabetically)  How to fix  Thanks in advance

How are you opening? The customer form from the customer list form?
Is it the wizard that created for you a macro? Or did you write some VBA?

Now, regarding your question, what code do you have in those buttons to open those forms?

Sounds like you just need to set a value in the ORDER BY property of the form and make sure ORDER BY ON LOAD is ON.

Thanks Richard,
can you show me the syntax of the "order by"  box in form properties.
You can assume that the table is called "CustomerT" and the field is called  "FirstName"
Thank you soo much,... and i love your videos, u are an excellent teacher
thanks again

Just enter the name of the field into the Order By property.
Set Order By On Load to Yes (this is the default).
