Access Expert Level 9

Richard, I'm just wondering if I need to change something in the subform. When I add a new order, I notice that the order goes to the front of the line rather than the last. For example, If I have 4 orders listed on the record label as 1-4, I add a new order #5, and when I finish and close the form it will open with the most recent order as opposed to the very first one created. Thanks, Ken

Do you have a sort order specified? If so, then that's how your form or report's going to sort.

To be honest, I am not sure. Since we deleted all the other orders and info and started fresh I have now way of finding out now. If I want the the orders in the order form to go in sequence starting from the lowest to the highest, I just sort the OrderID that way I am assuming?

I would sort by OrderDate (earliest orders first).

Thank you Kevin. I appreciate your help

Yeah, like Kevin said, use a date because you can't rely on autonumbers; they can possibly be out of sequence.
