code locks up

This code is supposed to open an edit form.  It locks up does not do any anything. I did this as a macro.  Someone told to avoid macros.  This persons advice is work the price of gold

I am at a loss as to what is wrong.  Maybe its because I did not open a form.
any help would be appreciated.  Thank you

What do you mean by locks up? Does the code not run when you click the button? Is your database in a Trusted Location?

msgbox the PassID, if it is null then the button will exit sub and nothing will happen

Is PassID an autonumber? Is it Null? Will the form open without ,,,"PassID=" & PassID ? Troubleshoot a few issues John
