Hi Richard and guys. I watched your video on how to use a batch file to restart my database. Got me to look for copying also. I found a xcopy formula to copy my front end from a folder. It's as follows.
Xcopy 'c:\users\public\split\frontend' 'c:\users\pubilc\user\' /c /e /y
This is to copy my front end file to my user folder. This is to copy what's in the folder, not the file itself. I tried putting the file name after frontend but it didn't copy. What needs to change to copy the file.

You need to specify the file you want to copy: `xcopy "c:\users\public\split\frontend\mydatabase.accdb "c:\users\public\user\" /c /y` Also you have a typo in the destination folder: c:\users\pubilc\user\ pubilc should be public.

Hi, I did try it and at times it did and did not work. So I'll stick with the first way. I did the copy with the code I wrote above, and everything works but when I opened it. It said it's opening in safe mode. Then when I tried to close it the login closed down but the who window was flickering as I tried tox out of it. like it was resetting itself. it was flickering. it wasn't closing down. I had to go to task manager to close it out. Any suggestions.
