Saving a calculated value

I have developed a balance sheet for a client.  Currently, i have to access several forms to gather the latest data and then enter that into a form.  An example the the bank form.  I need that latest bank balance for the balance sheet.  How can I save the bank balance which is a calculated value into a table

I'm not completely sure how your stuff is setup, but in most cases this is just going to be a SQL statement. Either an Insert or Update statement. Here's some videos that might help.

If you are using a query to create the calculated field and have a field in your table to hold the data from the calculated field, you should not have a problem.

I'm using a continuous form to enter each bank transaction.  I'm calculating a running balance for each record.  The only data being saved in the table is the information from the bank.  The running balance is not in a table.  I want to add the last value of the running balance to a table so I can reference it from the Balance sheet form.

I tried to capture the maximum value of the bank transactions autonumber field.  That didn't work.  When I asked for the value, the text box give the the first record id value.  If i would capture the max value of the id, then I would ask for the running balance with the value of the Max table ID

@ Edward W How are you calculating the running balance in the form?

Also, I'm a bit confused. A Balance Sheet, along with all the other financial reports are normally pulled from Accounts in the General Ledger. Why are you getting this data from entry forms? The forms should update the GL, and then the Balance Sheet REPORT should be easy peasy (well kinda).

Have you got a bunch of forms open and then pull the data from all the forms? Again, that makes no sense.

I have solved my problem.  Thank you all for your feedback.
