Clarification

Video was great.  But, how does the total currency value help someone order what they anticipate they will need for next month?  I would have thought that getting the item and the quantity bought would be the thing they need to project sales for the next month.  Maybe I missed the point of the question.  Keep the videos coming.

That's because the dollar amount is the bottom line of a business, and you buy or sell based on how much money you want to spend or earn.  The units of an item doesn't mean much compared to its per-unit cost and sale price (and the total extended cost or price).  Also, prices may fluctuate while units stay the same.  My old job was in garment wholesale, and we often sold the same products at different prices to different customers.
