Remember to backup your database BEFORE making any major changes.

I'm the backup queen!  Thanks to all these wonderful videos, I have code in my Main Menu that backs up my database in a subfolder by month and date, and saves it with a time stamp everytime it is opened and closed. And then I have more code that checks a date in a Settings Table and if the date is less than today, it will run a cleanup and delete all the backups that are more than 3 days old so my hard drive don't get full. This has save my b### a bunch of times!

I have code like Sandra: I have a "Backup & Close" button in my databases; copying them to folders in a 4TB hard drive. It won't get full for years. Maybe. And if and when I want to, I can go and delete the old ones. It is nice to know--that if I make a change--I can always go back and get a good backup copy!! Also, I think this Shift-Control-Alt trick is really neat. Looking forward to incorporating it into stuff.

Do you ever test your backups though?
Just because you have a copy doesn't mean it isn't corrupt.
