RecordCount

I had Richard's RecordCount working perfectly and had removed the standard navigation bar and all was great until I did some tweaking to the form and now, unless I reinstate the standard navigation bar, I always get 1 of 1. If I put the navigation bar back it all works fine again. Unfortunately I do not now know what exactly I did with the tweaks but have tried to retrace my steps without solving this. If I have to live with the navigation bar so be it, but would prefer not. I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to what I may have done to cause the problem. Thanks!

Hi Patricia
I will start with the best advice I have for you and anyone who is starting development work:
1) Take a back up every time you get any modification done, and when I see any modification, I mean any small modification. It is common for me to make 6 to 12 backups in a matter of few hours. I do that exactly for the situation you find yourself in.

For your existing problem, Make a copy of the form and start removing code item by item until you get to the point where it works.

Also rundown the Please try the Troubleshooter. See Rule #4.

To add to what Sami said, we need to see your Form (in both Design View and Form View) and the properties for that Form. Since your Form has VBA behind it we DEFINITELY need to see any RELEVANT code.

Thanks Sami and Kevin. I never did solve the issue but as it is only on one form I have decided just to leave the default navigation bar in place. I think users will use the custom buttons and ignore the small ones anyway. Understood your comment Kevin about seeing Design View, Form View and relevant VBA. Also definately will take your advice Sami about saving backups regularly!
