Dive Into

You can always tell when AI writes something because they love to use phrases like "dive into" or "delve into." Even though I specifically tell it in the instructions not to use those phrases, it still does.

And yes, for those of you who are curious, I don't use AI to generate my scripts. I record everything just on the fly. I don't pre-script everything out. The most I'll do is make outlines and notes. But when I'm done, I have software that generates a transcript of everything I say. Then I do use AI to clean that up. It removes all the "ums" and "you knows," and all those little colloquialisms that I say, and it makes it more readable.

Then I have another AI process that generates the quiz with the questions and answers. It does a pretty good job of that. It makes me a list of all of the topics covered, so I have that bulleted list of topics. Then it generates for me a summary and what I call the "commercial," where it says, "In today's video, we're diving into..." I have specifically in the instructions not to use certain phrases like "dive into" or "delve into." Even though I tell it not to use that, it still does. Just like I always tell it that I hate curly quotes and em dashes, but it still uses them. It just does what it wants.

So AI is getting good, but it's not going to be great until it actually follows instructions. Sometimes, I have to pass the results through multiple layers of AI instructions just to tell it one thing at a time: "OK, now take the output from the previous round and do this to it." It's cumbersome sometimes.
