In Lesson 1 Richard is adamant that creating a “Look up Value” the “easy way” is wrong, but he doesn’t say why it’s wrong. He just says he doesn’t like it and its poor database design; but why? My rule is; if your selection is 5 or maybe even 10 items or less; I use the “easy / shortcut way”. Please explain why this is poor database design.
