You can certainly write ACTION queries directly into the VBA code of a button as direct SQL. For example:

DoCmd.RunSQL "DELETE FROM LogT WHERE LogID = 13"

That's perfectly fine. And yes, I do cover that extensively in the Developer series and my SQL Seminar, Part 2.
