Hi Richard, I wouldn't have been able to learn Access without your video series. Thank you! Now,I'm done with the forms I need and have creating a Main Menu to open them.  I want a helper to do the data input but I don't want her to have access to tables and queries.  So, I used your instructions at 13:00, in Level 7, lesson 1, to open the Navigation Table at start up and to turn off the Navigation Pane.  I also turned off the record selector, nav buttons and scroll bar.  However, the ribbon bar is still there for her to poke around in to create queries and tables.  How do I block that or turn it off?  Thank you, Joe

That's not quite so easy to get rid of... and it requires some programming. I cover fully locking down and securing your database in my Access Security Seminar, however in a nutshell, the easiest way to secure your database so she can't modify things is to:

1. SPLIT your database into two halves (forms in one, tables in another)
2. ENCRYPT your front-end into an ACCDE file
3. Give her that encrypted front-end file to use. She can't modify any design elements.
4. You keep the ACCDB file on your PC and don't let her have it.
