Additional Tracking Ideas for DB
Chris Tyson

In your comments from a previous video about not just looking at the scale, all of which I agree with, I also track my physical measurements such as:  waist, hip, (then you can do a waist:hip ratio, which should be 1 or less) neck, and chest.  What about adding these measurements to the database?  When your body goes through a re-comp, and the scale does not move, these measurements can give you that little boost of encouragement and motivation to keep going.  And as Richard has said, how your clothing or belt fits can be a really good indication of some positive change that is happening.  Consistency and persistency is the key - everyone, Keep It Up!!! And remember, progress is progress, no matter how big or small!

Excellent tips. Me personally, I track:
- My total weight
- My percentage of body fat
- Percentage of visceral fat (which my scale can track). That's the fat around your organs that's the dangerous stuff
- My percentage of muscle mass

I think it does percentages and pounds, so those are the things that I track. You could easily add your different measurements like that. I'm probably going to add something to keep track of your weight percentages and that kind of stuff too. That is something that I keep track of right now. I just keep track of it on a whiteboard right next to my scale.
