Hi Richard, Is there ever a time when you would want to apply an Input Mask AND a Format to a field? (or is an Input Mask just a more detailed version of the Format, so we should just use this?) Thank you.
Reply from Richard Rost:
My general rule of thumb is that the Input Mask is for data entry, and the Format is for display. Format is easier, so if you just care about how it LOOKS, stick with that. If you want to control how data is ENTERED (and looks) then go with an Input Mask. Can you use them both? Sure.
